How has Jennifer made a significant difference in marketing Rock Valley College (RVC)?
Jen has significantly impacted Rock Valley College’s marketing with a strategic, data-driven approach. She places a strong focus on problem-solving and understanding the “why” behind the work. You’ll often hear her say, “People buy things because people like them buy things.” That is often just the start of a productive, strategic discussion to define the “why” of specific goals and target audiences.
What are some impactful projects Jennifer has overseen at RVC?
Refreshing the college’s brand identity, developing the employee intranet, growing media relations and redesigning the college website. She also supported the implementation of the new Brand Ambassadors program, bringing authentic student content creation to the forefront of the social media strategy. She created student worker and intern opportunities, which led to tremendous growth in the organic Instagram and TikTok impact.
Since joining the college in August 2021, Jennifer has reshaped the department through team building, professional development and a renewed focus on digital marketing. She is a champion of DEI efforts as she advocates for diversity, accessibility and neurodiversity awareness.

Jen is committed to professional development, allowing the team to take advantage of opportunities while also guiding them through team development. By actively seeking feedback and creating opportunities for tea bonding, she demonstrates a genuine interest in her team’s wellbeing and professional growth.
