I want to attend NCMPR's 2025 national conference, but professional development funds are tight.

A scholarship can help!

NCMPR offers $400 scholarships to offset the cost of attending the 2025 national conference. Each of NCMPR’s seven districts will offer at least one general scholarship and at least one DEI scholarship. Scholarship applications will be accepted between Mon. Dec. 2 - Fri. Jan. 31.

General Scholarship

Applications are open to all NCMPR members, including new and long-time members, who need additional funding to attend the conference.

DEI Scholarship

The scholarship is intended to provide support to individuals from underrepresented racial and ethnic backgrounds, gender identities, sexual orientations, and/or disabilities.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must work full-time as a director, manager, writer, graphic designer, photographer, administrative assistant or other position that supports the college’s marketing and communications activities.
  • Applicants must be a designated NCMPR member.
  • Members of the NCMPR’s board of directors are not eligible to receive a scholarship.

Guidelines

  • Attendees must register for the conference and pay the registration fee in full.
  • NCMPR will mail scholarship recipients a check, made payable to the college, at the conclusion of the conference.
  • Scholarship winners who are unable to attend the conference will forfeit their scholarship, and the NCMPR board may select another recipient.
