What are some of Kelsey’s major accomplishments in college communications?  
As a dedicated storyteller, Kelsey ensures that all marketing initiatives align with Oakton’s goals and priorities from a user-centric perspective. Her positive leadership and collaboration were instrumental in Oakton’s brand refresh project. This comprehensive effort involved coordinating with both internal and external partners to launch a robust brand campaign with dozens of traditional and digital strategies, including the production of the college’s first broadcast TV commercial. Supportive and professional, Kelsey shares knowledge, resources and encouragement to help her team grow. She’s an excellent problem-solver, navigating conflicting views and feedback to find effective solutions. 

What personal and professional traits does Kelsey bring to Oakton? 
Kelsey is a data-driven leader who understands the crucial role of storytelling in marketing and communications, particularly in aligning with our recruitment funnel. She leads Oakton's content team with creativity and efficiency, managing comprehensive enrollment strategies that encompass print, digital, web and social media channels, producing over 60 assets each semester.  

Known for her collaborative leadership and positive spirit, Kelsey inspires her team and peers across the campus. Her genuine enthusiasm for her work and the organization’s mission is contagious, inspiring those around her.  

How does she support Oakton’s storytelling efforts? 
Kelsey and her team have led the creation and implementation of the marketing and communications team’s Inclusive Storytelling Guidelines. These guidelines emphasize shifting the narrative power to the students, employees, and alumni, making them the heroes of their own stories. This initiative has become a cornerstone of the institution’s equity work.
